Gas spouts, including gasket spout part replacement #706, are designed to fit Gott/Rubbermaid plastic cans. These spouts may also fit some other brand plastic gas cans, such as Blitz, Midwest, Scepter, Eagle, Igloo, Rotopax, and Kolpin, when used with your existing screw cap collar. It is important to note that these spouts do not work with Chilton/Sears Craftsman cans. The screw collar will fit Blitz brand plastic cans, but you may need to cut off the eyelet holes on the side of the cap.

When replacing parts, it is crucial to double-check measurements and compare them to your existing parts. The stopper caps come with a lanyard to retain the cap and prevent loss. The black rear air vent caps, including gasket and strap, come with yellow (coarse thread) and black base caps (fine thread). The yellow vent caps have a retaining lip to prevent them from popping out of your can. Installation is easy, but drilling is required.

To install the vent caps, start with an empty can and drill a 1/2" hole at the back of your plastic can above the fill line. Insert the vent cap and gently pop it in with a rubber mallet. It is recommended to drill a smaller hole initially and gradually work your way up to a 0.3" drill bit. Ensure that you drill a straight, clean hole to avoid making it larger than necessary.

The specifications of the spout kit are as follows: Material: Plastic, Color: White, Size (Nozzle Long): Approx. 8.07" long with a gasket approx. 1-1/2" wide. The inside dimensions of the yellow stopper cap are 0.78", the dimensions of the black rear stripe cap are 0.78", and the connected strings length is 0.78". The inside dimensions of the black fine thread are 1.88" and the yellow coarse thread are 1.77". Before making a purchase, be sure to check the outside thread diameter of your container.
